US committee calls for comments on how to share clinical trial data

The US Institute of Medicine panel charged with developing guiding principles for sharing clinical trial data has issued a “discussion framework” document. The Committee on Strategies for Responsible Sharing of Clinical Trial Data outlined a preliminary set of principles and posed a set of “key questions,” inviting comment from researchers, trial sponsors, patients, advocacy groups, and the public.1
