Girls from ethnic minorities shun HPV vaccine: In a survey of 2000 girls aged 15-16 years from London, 70% reported to have had all three doses of the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.1 The study, presented at the National Cancer Research Institute’s annual cancer conference in Liverpool on 2 November, also found that uptake was lower among black and Asian girls, who said that they would be less likely than white girls to attend cervical cancer screening as adults.
