US President Barack Obama hit back at critics of his 2010 health reform law on 18 July, arguing that the legislation is already guaranteeing Americans better, more secure coverage while saving them billions of dollars a year.
The president made the comments in a White House speech a day after the Republican controlled US House of Representatives voted for the 37th time to repeal all or parts of the law, the 2010 Affordable Care Act.
In recent weeks the White House has stepped up efforts to promote the new law, which comes into full effect next year. …
