Regenerative medicine has “enormous” potential to help people with chronic disease, but the United Kingdom is currently unprepared to harness its possibilities, peers have claimed.
Regenerative medicine, which involves replacing or regenerating cells, tissues, or organs in the human body to restore or establish normal function, includes cell therapy, gene therapy, and tissue engineering.
