Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (JSA), the Indian arm of the global People’s Health Movement, which works to establish equitable healthcare and development, has criticised the Chhattisgarh government for outsourcing diagnostic services in public health facilities.
“Healthcare is a fundamental right. Allowing the involvement of the for-profit private sector into an area considered a fundamental human right will only increase inequity,” said Rakhal Gaitonde of JSA.
