Peace is like the sun. Both enlist our attention, but resist intervention. Both seem nearby, but beam very high. Both warm and chill us, but warn and kill us. Both tantalize us with dreams of greatness, but infantilize us with screams of lateness. Sisyphean and empyrean, peace polarizes and the sun solarizes, while we politicize, militarize, commercialize, and rationalize, but don't realize that peace is humility and confession, not silly professions.
