The World Health Organization states that breastfeeding is the norm against which all other infant behaviors should be measured. Breastfeeding mothers and babies normally sleep together for many months.. Bravo, Dr. Ball, for reminding us of normal babies' sleep patterns. Trying to make a baby behave or sleep like an adult is absurd, harmful to the child, detrimental to mother-infant relationships, and doesn't work.
