An anaesthetist who falsely claimed credit for six research publications in his curriculum vitae and lied under oath at his General Medical Council (GMC) hearing has been allowed to return to work after a 12 month suspension from the medical register.
David Clark was working as a locum consultant at Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, in May 2009 when he applied for a full time consultant job, attaching a CV that incorrectly named him as contributing author of six articles.
