At the outset, I would like to congratulate BMJ and authors for the wonderful work. It again brings the importance of appropriate study designs, sample size calculation and other methodological aspects. I feel such under-powered studies may not be processed till the appropriate scientific issues are addressed. Also I would have appreciated, if of those under-powered proposals, how many got approval from IRB without any correction on this issues was also part of the study.
