Doctors may face mandatory reporting of adverse incidents involving implants

The UK government is considering changes that would make it compulsory for doctors and other health professionals to report any adverse incidents involving medical implants.

It has also given its backing to calls for more transparency and accountability in the regulation of medical implants, in an official response published on 18 December.
