In this Research paper by Paul Gringras and colleagues (BMJ 2012;345:e6664, doi:10.1136/bmj.e6664), some text was missing from the acknowledgments section. This should have read: “We are grateful to Debra Skene and Benita Middleton of the University of Surrey, Guildford, UK, for their help, advice, measurement, and interpretation of saliva melatonin data.”
Also, one of the authors’ surnames was incorrect. The professor in community child health at the Centre for Child and Adolescent Health, University of Bristol, is A Emond (not Edmond, as published).
