The most spot-on yet balanced piece I have read in 13 years as a consultant in several hospitals in UK.
Top down agenda delivered by double speak "yes" men whilst ignoring and side lining those that actually deliver the core mission. Doomed to fail. Just a matter of when.
This article should be compulsory reading for all - managers, taxpayers, politicians etc.
I left England 10 years ago to escape this unproductive groupthink and it has followed me north.
Competing interests: NHS and private practice. Patients come before institutional needs.
