Most Dutch doctors would like end to market forces in healthcare: Three quarters of doctors in the Netherlands, including 86% of GPs, would like market forces in healthcare to be scrapped, six years after their introduction. Of nearly 1250 respondents to the survey of Dutch Medical Association members, only 8% wanted more competition and 16% to retain the current position, in which up to 70% of care is subject to price negotiation.1
