Re: Another use for tests of walking speed in older adults
10 August 2012
Dear Editor,
I am confused. In your issue 7837 of 24-31 December 2011 a study of elderly men suggested that a faster walking speed was associated with a lower mortality. However another study in the recent issue 7867 concluded that walking faster wasn't such a good idea!
As I am well into the study age groups should I be walking faster or slower?
Please advise.
