I agree that specialty performance data should be more widely available. Nephrology is not however the only specialty that publishes its outcomes.

Intensive Care Medicine has had comparative outcome data available for individual units since 1994 from the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre. This has been used to target areas of practice where improvement needs to take place.

Some of this data is openly available on the website below and I would expect more comprehensive data to become available in future years.
