Elizabeth Mary Helen Veitch (“Mary”) had recently established herself as a partner in Springfield Medical Practice in Arbroath, but during that short time immersed herself in the practice and community.
Mary was born and brought up in Leicestershire, and her talent for music was apparent at a young age. She was enormously gifted as a violinist, and, although she trained as a classical player, her eclectic musical interests led her to be active in the folk scene in later life.
