The BMA will campaign to repeal the Health and Social Care Act, after a slew of motions at its annual representative meeting this week condemned its passing.

The conference overwhelmingly supported a motion put by Lucy-Jane Davis, from the Bristol division of the BMA, condemning the passing of the act, lamenting the associated increase in private provision of services in England, and demanding the full publication of the NHS risk register, the secret government document outlining the dangers that would result from the changes to the health service.1
