Anger must not stop doctors reaching a settlement over pensions, BMA chairman tells members

Doctors must resolve their pensions dispute with the government without “rushing to repeat or escalate” last week’s industrial action, the BMA’s chairman of council, Hamish Meldrum, has told its annual representative conference.
Coming just days after doctors took their first industrial action in almost 40 years, Meldrum struck a note of reconciliation in a speech that warned doctors not to lose the trust of the public.
