A group of GPs in partnership with the private company Virgin Care, part of the Virgin Group, has failed to win a ruling that an NHS hospital trust bidding against the partnership to provide community orthopaedic services had engaged in “predatory pricing.”
Assura East Riding LLP, a partnership of 13 general practices and Virgin Care, filed a complaint against NHS North Yorkshire and York Primary Care Trust (PCT) and York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust with the NHS Cooperation and Competition Panel.
