More Irish children are hungry: Fewer 9-18 year olds in Ireland are drinking and smoking now, but levels of physical activity continue to be poor, and more children are going hungry, shows the latest survey on health behaviour in school aged children (www.nuigalway.ie/hbsc/documents/nat_rep_hbsc_2010.pdf). A fifth of the 16 000 children studied said that they had gone to bed or school hungry, especially younger children and children from lower social classes.
