Just six weeks into his new role as general manager of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, Gabriel Jaramillo is using his financial and administrative expertise to transform the public-private partnership, which has disbursed over $22.6bn (£14.3bn; €17bn) of aid since it was founded in 2002.
