A London GP from Sri Lanka who spent four and a half years in a US jail for aiding the Tamil Tigers has been struck off the UK medical register.
Murugesu Vinayagamoorthy, 62, was caught in an undercover sting in which he was recorded attempting to bribe purported US state department officials to remove the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) from a list of designated foreign terrorist organisations.
