Abdul Jabbar started his career in the UK as trainee in psychiatry in 2004 and during the past two years has been working as a specialty doctor at the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder service of South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. He was also training for a postgraduate degree in systemic family therapy at Leeds University. During his career he contributed to trustwide activities and undertook additional work for audits and the drug and therapeutic committee. He was always ready to undertake extra responsibilities and to support the department he served in. A greatly valued and highly respected colleague, he was known for his honourable conduct, support for his colleagues, and kind and gentle manner. He leaves his wife, Baiman, and son Yusuf and daughter Safia.
