The new body leading the education and training of doctors will deal with the problem of junior doctors not having enough time to train, MPs have heard.
Department of Health officials appeared before the parliamentary health select committee on 15 November, as part of the committee’s inquiry into government plans for education, training, and workforce planning for healthcare under the new body, Health Education England (HEE).
Under the government’s plans, HEE will take over several functions currently carried out by the Department of Health, strategic health authorities, and Medical Education England.
