A 64 year old former consultant breast surgeon who botched a string of operations and whose performance assessment showed that she posed “a great risk to patients” has been struck off by the General Medical Council.
Puvaneswary Markandoo’s performance was so poor that it did not reach the level of a newly qualified doctor, a GMC fitness to practise panel heard.
