The BMJ website is changing. The last bmj.com redesign was four years ago, and since then we have introduced new article sections, changed to twice daily rather than once weekly online publication, started a weekly podcast, and attracted almost 200 bloggers. We have also developed a BMJ iPad app and posted many more videos to accompany articles.

It seemed a logical next step to revisit the current design so that there is more scope to accommodate and promote these new features and others planned for the future.
