Dutch regulators investigate resistant Klebsiella: The Dutch Healthcare Inspectorate is investigating an outbreak of the multiple antibiotic resistant bacterium Klebsiella pneumoniae Oxa-48. Ninety eight patients at Maasstad Hospital, Rotterdam, were infected, and 28 died, although causes of death are still being investigated. Around 3000 patients are being screened, dating back to October 2010.
