The deadline for general practices in England to register with the regulator of health services, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), has been pushed back to April 2013, after nearly all the respondents to the Department of Health’s consultation on the proposal supported delaying registration for a year.

Dedicated providers of out of hours services that are not general practices will still have to register with the CQC by April …
