In the past year 23 boys were shot near the Israel-Gaza Strip border fence, according to a report published by the Palestine section of the human rights organisation, Defense for Children International on 29 December 2010.
The report lists 23 shooting incidents of 13-17 year olds between 26 March and 23 December 2010. Most of the boys were shot while collecting construction material to help their families.
