There will be a general election in June 2011 in Turkey, and the government’s Health Transformation Programme (HTP) is one of the main topics of political debate. I was therefore disturbed by the timing of your article about healthcare in Turkey,1 which flattered the government. Two of its authors work in the health ministry as high level bureaucrats.
