Doctor who injected her sister with unlicensed drug is struck off register

A doctor who injected her sister with an unlicensed drug that caused her to have an anaphylactic reaction and die has been struck off the UK medical register.

Yvonne Pambakian, medical director of a biotechnology company, also injected her mother and a terminally ill cancer patient with the drug, known as B-71. Her mother, Arpi Matossian-Rogers, had set up Amro Biotech and developed the drug, which was intended to reduce insulin concentrations.
