Paris court rejects drug company’s case against journal

A French drug company that sued a journal for criticising one of its drugs has lost its case in a Paris court.

Astellas Pharma had sued the French monthly Prescrire, claiming that the journal had unfairly criticised its product Protopic (tacrolimus ointment). In a ruling published on 2 March the Paris Civil Court rejected the company’s lawsuit.
