Sixteen months ago Abdelbaset Al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, was released from jail on compassionate grounds,1 so now might be a good time to publish the medical report to the Scottish parliament suggesting that he had three months to live. We could then see how convincing were the medical grounds for the early release of a convicted criminal from jail.
