The UK government is committed to reforming the way that offenders in England and Wales with mental health problems and learning disabilities are dealt with, the senior official responsible for offenders’ health told a seminar in central London.
Richard Bradshaw, director of offenders’ health at the Department of Health, told a Westminster Legal Policy Forum seminar that the coalition government broadly accepted the recommendations of a report by the Labour peer Keith Bradley.
