Leslie Thomas Scott, who established the department of anaesthesia in Lancaster and also started one of the earliest preoperative assessment clinics in the country, has died aged 92.
Born in Liverpool, he was educated at Ulverston Grammar School, followed by Oxford and UCH. Graduating in 1941, he joined a practice in Tonbridge, with some anaesthetic sessions.
