Experts call for more allergy specialists in UK

    The United Kingdom has a worryingly low number of specialists to diagnose food allergies in children, experts say.

    It is estimated that the number of admissions of children to hospital for food allergies has risen 500% since 1990. The British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the professional and academic body that represents the specialty of allergy, has this week called for the number of specialists to be boosted.
