- Anne Evans
Wyn Vaughan Evans undertook house officer and senior house officer posts in Barnsley and Sheffield, followed by registrar and senior registrar posts in Cardiff, St Helens, and Ipswich, before returning to Wales as a consultant in 1984, where he later became clinical director for medicine.
Wyn’s main interests were music and natural history. He took early retirement in 2002 to spend more time on projects on his small holding in the Brecon Beacons. In 2008 he was diagnosed with lymphoma, but, despite several courses of chemotherapy, he continued planting trees and improving wildlife habitats on the farm until shortly before he died. The crab apple blossom this spring was testament to his foresight.
He leaves a wife, Anne, and three children, as well as his mother.
