Positive discrimination is still elitist

Imagine a profession filled with ageing white men, men of great power and sometimes great wisdom, with many years of experience. Some used their power to appoint other white men to replace them. And some used their power inappropriately because they didn’t like anyone who wasn’t white like them. Not all were bad, but there was a conspiracy of silence covering all this up until the whole house of cards fell down.
