In this news article by Tessa Richards (BMJ 2009;339:b5370, doi:10.1136/bmj.b5370) we wrongly said that Canice Nolan was director general of the European Public Health Alliance. Dr Canice Nolan works in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Consumers.
