The ombudsman for the European Union has twice criticised the London based European Medicines Agency in recent weeks for refusing access to requested documents and is currently investigating two further cases.
The ombudsman, Nikiforos Diamandouros, who examines complaints about maladministration in European Union institutions and bodies, has given the agency until the end of July to reply to his first ruling and the end of August for the second.
