Doctors back complaint over axing of extension of free school meals

    Senior doctors have written to the education secretary, Michael Gove, urging him to review plans to axe an extension of free school meals to 500 000 children from low income families. At the moment only children whose parents receive unemployment benefit are entitled to free school meals.
