If O’Hanlon is serious in his desire to lead a life free of drug reps,1 he should consider a career in obstetrics. We use about five drugs, all of which have been around for ages and are now out of patent. As far I am aware, there are no new drugs under development in our specialty. This is a concern. I have never seen a syntocinon rep. Do they even exist? Quite apart from a lack of free lunches we have to buy our own pens.
