A new NHS dementia awareness campaign has been launched, as a survey shows that a third of respondents are uncomfortable around people with the condition.
The “Living Well” campaign, backed by the Department of Health for England and the Alzheimer’s Society, aims to educate the public about the condition and demonstrate the simple things that can be done to help people live well with dementia. The campaign was launched at the London nightclub Pacha this week and featured people with dementia ballroom dancing as a way to challenge perceptions about the illness.
