Many NHS trusts are not ready for statutory registration, regulator warns

    Poor compliance with safety standards means that many NHS trusts will not be ready for statutory registration when it starts next year, England’s regulator of health and adult social care services, the Care Quality Commission, has warned.

    From April 2010 all NHS healthcare organisations in England, to continue treating patients, will be legally required to register with the commission.
