    Neena Modi, professor of neonatal medicine at Imperial College London, has been appointed the new head of the BMJ ethics committee and will take over the role from Iona Heath in October.

    The committee’s job is to help editors with difficult cases, to review policies that have ethical implications, and to expand the journal’s coverage of ethical issues (http://resources.bmj.com/bmj/about-bmj/about-bmj/advisory-panels/ethics-committee).
