    Father Mikhail was born Nabil Fakry Salama on 19 July 1939 in Sohag, Upper Egypt. He graduated from Ain Shams University, Cairo in 1963 and began working in Cairo. From the start he was drawn to obstetrics and gynaecology. He obtained his diploma in surgery in 1966 from Cairo University and his diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology in 1970 from Ain Shams University. After a few years working in rural Egypt, he obtained a scholarship in obstetrics and gynaecology in a professorial unit in Cairo. His adventurous spirit then took him to Nigeria, where he …
