Thousands of doctors and nurses from public hospitals across France marched in Paris last week in protest at a proposed act that is designed to change the governance of French hospitals.
Doctors think that it will give too much power to hospital directors, who will be given the role of “super managers.” Decisions will no longer be made by directors in collaboration with the medical profession but by directors alone.
