Taiwan is no longer excluded from World Health Assembly: The World Medical Association has lauded the decision by Margaret Chan, head of the World Health Organization, to invite Taiwan to participate in this year’s World Health Assembly. Otmar Kloiber, the association’s secretary general, said: “At a time when the world is facing a possible flu pandemic, Taiwan’s continued exclusion would have posed a real risk to public health.”
