Doctors and dentists working in the NHS are to receive a 1.5% pay rise for 2009-10, the government has announced.
The announcement is in line with the recommendation from the doctors’ and dentists’ review body (DDRB), but slightly lower than the increase recommended by NHS Employers and has been greeted with disappointment by the BMA.
