    Maxwell Sewell, a north London general practitioner since the early 1960s who ran the surgery at 103 Crouch Hill, Crouch End, was admired and respected by patients and colleagues. Since his retirement in 1999, former patients still ask after him with fondness, and practice staff and other medical colleagues say they miss his warm, friendly, and smiling personality.
